“Everybody Can Be Great, Because Anybody Can Serve” Martin Luther King, Jr.

“A community is too heavy for anyone to carry alone.” Based on Deuteronomy 1:9

We have had tremendous response to this year's Mitzvah Day—our 9th Annual Community-wide Day of tikkun olam (repair of the world) as part of a National Day of Service to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

How was Mitzvah Day 2016? See for yourself:

We look forward to our 10th anniversary in 2017!

In the meantime, check out our Mitzvah Corps volunteer group. They'll be completing projects throughout the Bay Area year 'round.

Another Way You Can Help… this year’s rain has really hit the community hard and many people cannot afford simple things that can keep them dry.

This year we have been asked to help the local Community Service Agency collect umbrellas and rain ponchos. Please consider donating a new or lightly used umbrella or poncho.

Please bring them with you to the sign-in desk at the OFJCC.
