San Francisco’s legendary literary festival returns to the Oshman Family JCC on Sunday, August 17. And it's still free!
Expect all the rollicking literary fun of great authors, ideas and conversation. There will be a variety of salons on intriguing topics from thrillers to memoirs to cross-cultural writing.
This year, we’ll start off from 2:00-2:45 PM with several workshops for adults, followed by a variety of salons on intriguing topics: from memoirs and LGBT writing to international perspectives and New Yorker cartoonists.
Confirmed authors include:
- Headliner Marcia Clark, OJ Simpson’s prosecutor-turned-bestselling-crime-novelist
- Kelly Corrigan, Glitter and Glue
- Ellen Sussman, A Wedding in Provence
- …and many others
Meet all our fabulous authors!
For kids and families, there will be storytelling, interactive puppetry and family portrait workshops, crafts in the garden and engaging guest authors from 2:00-5:00 PM. And teens are invited to participate in a poetry slam! Check out the Kidquake page for more info.
After the literary salons, guests are invited to “Blues, Booze & Schmooze,” a no-host social where participants and authors can continue to mix and mingle.
Our headliner this year is Marcia Clark of OJ Simpson trial fame. We’ll discover how she made the transition to writing crime novels and discuss the success of her popular Rachel Knight mystery series as well as other current projects.
Don’t miss it! See full schedule of the day.
