Keep life interesting and exciting by discovering something new. The OFJCC offers an alluring selection of classes and workshops for adults.

We have something for every desire whether it’s learning a new language or a new dance step. Professional instructors and lecturers from the top of their fields will be on hand to guide enthusiastic beginners in their new creative outlets, while helping seasoned pros perfect their proficiency.

This course will cover the fundamentals of guitar playing and music in general. Different parts of the guitar, posture, hand position, tuning and basics of notation such as rhythm and note recognition, fingerings and location of notes and chords on the fretboard will be taught.

After an inaugural year of study and dialogue on the philosophical works of Maimonides, Lehrhaus Philosophy Circle will explore The Zohar. In honor of the completion of Professor Daniel C. Matt’s epic translation and annotation of the first nine volumes of The Zohar: Pritzker Edition, we will discuss selections from this groundbreaking work.

The Level 1 percussion class will focus on the fundamentals of rhythm, meter, melody and expression through movement, drums, singing, bells and more! Children will develop a sense of tempo, learn to read rhythms and pitches, sing folk melodies from around the world and find expression through music.

As we make masks, we'll sample wine and eat different types of hamantaschen (pastries for Purim), pairing the best combinations. Open to all adults (21+); no experience or background necessary.
