Vision
We believe every teen inspired by Jewish values can become a role model for building community and repairing the world.

Mission

The OFJCC Teen Program delivers engaging programming led by and for teens from diverse backgrounds. OFJCC teens connect through experiences infused with Jewish values and culture.

Become an OFJCC Center Member!

Teens 13+ can join the OFJCC and gain access to all of our fitness programs, pools, gym and more. For more information on teen membership pricing, contact the membership office at (650) 223-8700 or membership@paloaltojcc.org.

Keyboard orientation, rhythm and note-reading skills will be acquired in a fun and playful atmosphere. Students will begin by playing basic pieces and familiar songs.

Teen Fitness and Conditioning Camp

For Teens ages 14-17

Teen Fitness and Conditioning Camp
In the Teen Fitness and Conditioning Camp, Personal Trainer Brittany Sturla will lead teens through goal-setting activities, fitness education topics and a fun strength and conditioning workout. Our goal is to help teens develop healthy behaviors that lead to lifelong habits and wellness. This class is great for teens who love to workout and for those who are less experienced who would like to learn a variety of ways to sneak activity into their lives.

Youth Fitness and Conditioning Camp
In the Youth Fitness and Conditioning Camp, Personal Trainer Brittany Sturla will lead fun fitness games, conditioning exercises and body weight movements. We hope to introduce children to the joy of exercise in a safe and supportive way.

YouthFit
A fun sports, recreation and fitness program for kids 10–13 years old.

Personal trainers will engage children in exciting activities that will increase their speed, agility, strength, confidence and healthy habits.

Youth Volleyball Development League

Youth Volleyball Development League
Teach1Sports hosts a weekly Volleyball Skills Clinic/League for boys and girls in grades 6-11. Sessions focus on individual athletic needs and team concepts that include passing, blocking, digging, situational setting, directional hitting and different types of serving. We use age-appropriate game balls and net size.

A personal trainer will instruct teens on proper weight lifting form and technique, gym etiquette, SMART goal setting and how to reach these goals safely and effectively. Developing healthy behaviors early in life will lead to lifelong habits and wellness.

Guitar Beginners' Group Class: Ages 10–14
The beginner’s class teaches the fundamentals of music and guitar playing in a fun and engaging environment. We will cover the different parts of the guitar, posture, hand position, tuning and basics of music notation such as rhythm and note recognition, fingerings and location of notes on the fretboard.

Basketball Shooting Machine Training

Are you looking to improve your basketball shot? 

The OFJCC now offers a shooting machine that will catch your rebounds and pass the ball so you spend more time practicing your shot and less time running after loose balls.

This is one of the most effective and efficient tools used to help build muscle memory as the repetition helps you to see what you are doing wrong.

Goju Ryu Karate

Goju Ryu Karate
Goju Ryu (Japanese for "hard-soft style") Karate incorporates tactics executed at close range. Mind, body and spirit are fundamental to the highly effective self-defense system of Goju Ryu, which is taught by Desmond Tuck, a Japan-graded 7th Degree black belt.

Young artists in grades 5–10 will work on new ideas for art pieces and explore new materials and techniques. In this class you will draw, sculpt, work with felt, beads, metal and many more materials to create unique pieces of art.

Stitching with Neta (Grades 5-10)
This class is for kids in grades 5–10 who would like to learn and work with different fabrics needles and threads. We are going to sew pillows and little animals from felt, learn to embroider recycled garments and make beautiful decorations for our clothes. Prior experience not needed.

Table Tennis Tournament

Table Tennis Tournament
Come and join us in a round robin tournament and see if you have what it takes to be the best of the OFJCC.

The first twenty participants to sign up will automatically be entered into the tournament. Each match will consist of three eleven point games. The top eight players will make the playoffs. Prizes will be awarded to the top players of the tournament.

Battle of the Bands
