It was less than a year ago that unprecedented wildfires ravaged Sonoma and Napa Counties. Our community stepped up with an outpouring of support toward the relief effort, and today we continue to help reconstruct lives by partnering with Habitat for Humanity for a day of service in Santa Rosa.
The OFJCC and several local Jewish organizations will be partnering with the Jewish Community Federation to help rebuild three homes in the affected area of Coffey Park neighborhood in Santa Rosa.
If you would like to participate in this opportunity please sign up now; spaces are limited and going fast.
Individuals and families are welcome to sign up for a day of physical work. Construction volunteers work alongside Habitat's dedicated construction team and partner families to help build Habitat houses. No previous construction experience is necessary. Habitat will provide all the tools, training and safety equipment needed to work on their construction sites.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to be on a job site and must be able to lift 20 pounds.
