    OFJCC Palo Alto JCC

Known as one of the most important book (re: script) writers in Broadway history, Oscar Hammerstein II made the story—not the songs or the stars—central to the musical and brought musical theater to full maturity as an art form.

Join jazz and cabaret entertainer Gilda Solve to relive some of his masterpieces, which are among the most beloved musicals of all time, including The Sound of Music, South Pacific, Oklahoma, The King and I and more. Find out more about the wonder of the music behind the man.

Guests are welcome to ask questions via the chat throughout the program.
