Join us in-person, in the Schultz Cultural Arts Hall, for Capriccio Chamber Orchestra's special 2022 Winter Concert.

OFJCC Palo Alto JCCCapriccio Chamber Orchestra, led by Music Director Alexander Eisenberg, fosters music education and training for the next generation of young aspiring musicians by providing a platform where students in the orchestra are coached by professional musicians who play alongside them during rehearsals and performances. This is an invaluable and inspirational experience for the professional musicians, the students and the audience alike. Each concert performance features Capriccio Chamber Orchestra's core professional musicians as well as some selected youth talent.

Alexander Eisenberg belongs to the famous Russian Violin School, which has produced a great number of extraordinary masters of this instrument. He began his studies in Odessa with his grandfather, Michael Greenberg, and then continued his studies at the Moscow Conservatory. While in Moscow, Alex won numerous Soviet competitions. He later studied at the Vienna University for Music and Arts.

After leaving the Soviet Union, Mr. Eisenberg won first prize and a gold medal in the Michelangelo Abbado Violin Competition in Sondrio, Italy, along with the Paolo Borciani special prize for chamber music. He is also a winner of the Concorso Internationale Rameu in France.

Alex has performed with orchestras and symphonies worldwide. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed in Europe, South and North Americas with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Vienna Soloists, Odessa Philharmonic, Belgrade Radio Symphony Orchestra, Dubrovnik Festival Orchestra, Kansas City Chamber Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the Heidelberg Chamber Orchestra.

"Our mission is to help the youth develop talent, provide opportunity, and most importantly, inspire the desire to learn and experience classical music. We hope to accomplish this mission with our Chamber Orchestra and Summer Music Festival Programs." ~Alex Eisenberg
