This is the eighth year the OFJCC will take a group to the Bach Festival. Spend three days and two nights in Carmel-by-the-Sea and attend four concerts. The popular trip has been enjoyed by all attendees. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis; space is limited to a maximum group size of 30.
Spend two nights at the historic Cypress Inn downtown, at Lincoln and 7th Avenue, with breakfast included.
We have planned a delicious welcome brunch upon our arrival in Carmel, at the renowned restaurant Anton & Michel.
The group will attend four concerts at the Bach Festival, two main concerts with pre-concert lectures and two matinee concerts.
Sunday, July 17, 3:00 PM | Saint John Passion by J.S. Bach, with orchestra, chorus and soloists
Monday, July 18, 3:00 PM | Fresh Traditions with oboe and clarinet, music by Prokofiev, Goetz, Clarke and Zwilich
Monday, July 18, 7:30 PM | Concertmaster Peter Hanson with Festival Orchestra playing the double concerti by Bach, Vivaldi and Corelli
Tuesday, July 19, 1:30 PM | Concert with harp, violin and cello, playing music by Tedesco, Saint-Saens and Ibert

It is difficult to anticipate what the situation with COVID will be in July. Just to make sure, please have your COVID vaccination record, including a booster, and masks with you. The Bach Festival has been very careful about safety protocols and we expect them to continue to do so.
The bus will drop the group off at the hotel on Sunday morning and pick everyone up on Tuesday afternoon. We do not have a bus in Carmel for the time we are there. The hotel, concert halls, restaurants, art galleries and stores are all within walking distance of downtown. If you need transportation while in Carmel, you will need to arrange rides yourself with Uber or the local taxi company. If you need special devoted personal assistance during this trip, you must bring your own escort. The two group escorts are there for the overall supervision of the trip.

Check-in at the OFJCC at 8:00 AM on Sunday. Return on Tuesday, around 5:30 PM depending on traffic.
Price: $1,270 for single occupancy | $940 per person for double occupancy

Price includes round-trip transportation from the OFJCC by private coach, two nights at the Cypress Inn hotel with breakfast, welcome brunch at Anton & Michel, tickets to four concerts, and two escorts to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Refund Policy: There is a $150 non-refundable fee for cancellations. After May 20, refunds will only be issued if we are able to resell your seat.
Travel Insurance: We recommend obtaining travel insurance in the event you need to cancel your trip. The OFJCC does not offer travel insurance and cannot recommend a company. In the past people have used their own travel agents, AAA, Travel Guard and others.
