About the event
Join us for an evening of communal support and healing as we explore Sheryl Sandberg's powerful documentary Screams Before Silence.
With licensed psychologist and trauma expert Dr. Adi Zief-Balteriski, we will journey through the film together, pausing at pivotal moments for reflection, guided discussion and therapeutic exercises, to help ease participants into the material and build coping strategies.
Trauma researcher and soundbath practitioner Limor Goldhaber will close with an immersive soundbath, inviting deep relaxation and mindfulness as part of a holistic approach to trauma healing.
Each attendee will receive a care package, and refreshments will be provided, creating a warm, compassionate space for communal resilience and growth.
About the Film
Screams Before Silence sheds light on the multitude of sexual atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists during the attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023. It captures first-person testimony from survivors, first responders, eyewitnesses, released hostages, forensic experts and advocates, all of whom share their stories mere months later. Their harrowing accounts reveal the uncompromising truth: that Hamas used rape, assault and mutilation in a brutal rampage of gender-based violence. Led by Sheryl Sandberg, the documentary encourages viewers to bear witness, demand justice, raise our voices and ensure the brutality of October 7th never happens again.
