Do you want to be a lifeguard?
Take the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course including First Aid, CPR and AED.
Each course will run in person on all three days, including Friday, 5:30–8:00 PM, and Saturday–Sunday, from 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with blended learning of six hours online before the course starts.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive your American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications.
You will be emailed the online course information, which must be completed before the in-person portion begins on Friday. 72 hours after registering, please check your email for a link at 5:00 PM.

Prerequisites for class include:
- A minimum of 15 years of age by the end of the course
- Swim 300 yards (12 lengths) continuously; can use a combination of both freestyle and breaststroke
- Tread water for 2 minutes without using hands
- 40-yard timed swim with 10-pound brick test. Starting in the water, swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object, and exit the water without using a ladder or steps within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
Full-time, part-time and seasonal lifeguard and swim instructor positions are available immediately at the OFJCC!
