This five-part workshop is intended for anyone seeking to find spiritual meaning at a time when so much seems to be going wrong in our world. Drawing on the wisdom of the Jewish mystical tradition and contemplative practices, we will explore ways to cultivate our capacity to find divinity in all things, even when it seems out of reach.
Each session will include time for meditation, reflection, open and safe sharing, and deep listening. The workshop is open and accessible to all; no prior knowledge or experience is required. Ideally, participants will be able to attend all sessions.
During this workshop, we will use a spiritual handbook from one of the great Hasidic masters—Rabbi Kalonymus Kalman Shapira (1889–1943)—as our guide.
Darren Kleinberg has been a practitioner of a variety of spiritual, mystical and wisdom traditions for three decades. He currently serves as a Chaplain Resident at Stanford Medicine. He is an ordained rabbi, holds a PhD in Religious Studies and is the author of Hybrid Judaism (2016).
