Do you want to be a lifeguard?
Take the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course including First Aid, CPR and AED.
Each day of the two-day course will run in person from 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, with blended learning of 7 hours 30 minutes online before the course starts. There will also be a prerequisite swim on Friday, September 22 from 5:30–6:30 PM.
You will be sent by email the online course information that must be completed before the in-person portion begins on Saturday, September 23 at 8:30 AM. 72 hours after registering please check your email for a link to the online portion of this course.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive your American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications.
Prerequisites for class include:
- A minimum of 15 years of age by the end of the course
- Swim 300 yards (12 lengths) continuously; can use a combination of both freestyle and breaststroke
- Tread water for 2 minutes without using hands
- 20-yard timed swim with 10-pound brick test
Full-time, part-time and seasonal lifeguard and swim instructor positions are available immediately at the OFJCC!
