The Bay Area Community Talmud Circle is a growing, dynamic and welcoming community of adult students engaged in modern Talmud study and active conversation. Five Talmud Circles exist around the Bay Area. The meetings are virtual for now, hoping to return to in-person sessions when the situation allows. While the majority of participants are continuing students, anyone may join!
Rabbi Dorothy Richman serves as the rabbi of Makor Or: Jewish Meditation Center and is a founding faculty member of the Romemu Yeshiva. Dorothy's work engages the spiritual practices of Torah study, prayer, meditation, music and justice. She released an album of original songs, Something of Mine, largely based on texts from the Jewish tradition.
Bay Area Community Talmud Circle students study with the Koren Talmud Bavli, Berakhot, available in various print sizes and in digital editions.
