Attend San Francisco Ballet's premiere of "Manon", music by composer Jules Massenet, choreographed by Sir Kenneth MacMillan. "Manon" is considered one of MacMillan's most notable and widely celebrated works, showcasing his expertise of narrative choreography and acute insight into human psychology.
"Manon" is one of the most dramatic and devastating ballets. This is the story of Manon's struggle to escape poverty. Played out on stage is the juxtaposition between her impoverished origins and the lavish world she longs to inhabit—paying the ultimate price for true love and freedom.
This excursion is offered at a greatly reduced price due to the generous support from the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund and the John R. Schwabacher Family, as well as many other individual donors. We are grateful for the generous support of all of our donors.
