    OFJCC ICC Cantor Sharon Bernstein

Each year, when we do our self-reflection at the High Holidays, many of us find ourselves staring at a very similar list of goals to the previous year. Things we'd like to do better, to change about ourselves, to think about and work on over the coming year. But change is hard, and our very good intentions are often not enough. One also needs tools and a system. In this workshop, combining principles of coaching with Jewish texts, we will learn how to develop unique, personal connections with the prayers of the High Holidays and explore how to use them to create lasting change throughout the year.

Facilitated by Cantor Sharon Bernstein, a singer, pianist and composer exploring resonances between text, image and music, inner and outer, friend and stranger, tradition and innovation. Her work is built on rhythms, melodies and harmonies from across the Jewish spectrum, including Yiddish songs, Hassidic Niggunim, Italian Jewish musical traditions and original compositions and arrangements.
