Sarah M. Tinsley
Chief Human Resources Officer

Sarah M. Tinsley has spent her career serving mission-driven organizations through growth, change and transformation. Her leadership experience spans healthcare, education, arts and culture, and nonprofit organizations, where she has worked at the intersection of people, strategy and operations to help organizations strengthen culture, navigate change and achieve long-term success.
Most recently, Sarah served as Chief Operating and People Officer at Curtis School in Los Angeles, partnering with executive leadership and the Board of Trustees on organizational strategy, people leadership and major institutional initiatives, including a significant campus expansion project. Her career includes leadership roles with DaVita, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences during the development of the Academy Museum, and the Skirball Cultural Center.
For Sarah, joining the Oshman Family JCC represents both a professional opportunity and a personal homecoming. A graduate of American Jewish University with a degree in psychology, she has long been inspired by Jewish learning, culture and community. The JCC has played a meaningful role in her own life, including introducing her to her husband many years ago.
In addition to her executive leadership roles, Sarah has been active in both professional and community leadership. She previously served as vice chair of the Cal-ISBOA Human Resources Committee, serves as treasurer of the Stovall Foundation and has volunteered with the Junior League of Los Angeles and IKAR.
Throughout her career, Sarah has been drawn to organizations that bring people together, strengthen communities and create opportunities for growth and connection. She is honored to continue that work at the OFJCC.
Sarah and her husband recently relocated to the Bay Area, where their talented son lives. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, cooking, writing and lifelong learning.
