Join us for a fascinating look at Israel like you’ve never seen before!
The ICC is proud to bring a unique program which uses Israeli film to tackle some of the most challenging aspects of what it means to be a democratic Jewish state, and thrive as one, in the Middle East today. Israel for Reel provides a safe space to come together and celebrate our different cultural perspectives, as we elevate our knowledge of Israel and consider the role it plays as part of our Jewish identity.
From Israel’s history to geopolitics to scientific contributions and everything in between, this seven-session program is oriented toward defining the role of Israel in our Jewish identity, igniting a sense of pride that doesn’t require agreement with particular policies, and equipping ourselves with tools to effectively engage in conversations about Israel, including in situations where the conversation or environment is hostile to Israel.
Our target audiences for this year will include:
Parents of teens
Adults and young adults
8th grade students
High school teens
Hillel students
Congregation members
BBYO members
