תוכנית זו מיועדת לילדים דוברי עברית מגיל 4 ועד כיתת קינדר. המפגשים ייערכו אחת לשבוע ויימשכו כשעה.

מטרת התוכנית הינה חשיפה לשפה העברית באמצעות חוויה עשירה ומגוונת המהווה בסיס אורייני חשוב לרכישת השפה, הדיבור, הבנת הנשמע ובהמשך קריאה וכתיבה.

התוכנית מחולקת לנושאים שונים. לכל שיעור נושא עיקרי מוביל אשר מותאם למאפייני גיל הילדים, לתחומי העניין שלהם, לחגים היהודיים-ישראליים, עונות השנה ועוד.

במהלך המפגשים הילדים ייחשפו לשירים, סיפורים ותוכן עשיר בשפה העברית.

הילדים יעשירו את אוצר המילים שלהם ואת יכולת ההבעה בעל-פה. הילדים יבינו רעיונות מרכזיים ויביעו עצמם על ידי שיחה והקשבה, יצירה, תנועה ומוסיקה. בכל שיעור ילמדו התלמידים אוצר מילים חדש שקשור לנושא המרכזי וישתמשו בו בהזדמנויות שונות. בדרך זו יעשירו הילדים את שפתם.

בגן גורים יינתן דגש ומקום לביטוי אישי, תקשורת בין אישית, תחושת מסוגלות, פיתוח הדמיון, יצירתיות, כיף והנאה!

תוכנית זו מיועדת לתלמידים העולים לכיתת גן חובה (Kindergarten), והינם דוברי עברית. המפגשים יערכו אחת לשבוע וימשכו שעה. התכנית מתמקדת בביסוס השפה וברכישה של אוצר המילים תוך שיח, משחק, סיפור, ושירה בעברית. בנוסף, יושם דגש על הכרת ההווי והתרבות היהודיים/ישראלים, חגים ומועדים. המפגשים יכללו מגוון רחב של פעילויות חווייתיות ויצירתיות באווירת גן.

כיתת הגן מהווה מסגרת חינוכית לילדים בגיל 5 בה נחשפים הילדים לחברת בני גילם, בני משפחות ישראליות בקהילה. כאן הם יצרו חברויות חדשות, יפתחו תחושת שייכות לקבוצה הישראלית ויטפחו מיומנויות לשון ותקשורת בשפה העברית.

התכנית נכתבה בהתאמה ליכולותיהם של הילדים בהתאם לשלב התפתחותם. נכללים בה המרכיבים הבאים:

• כישורי השפה: הבנת השפה המדוברת ויכולת ההבעה. הרחבת התקשורת המילולית והיכולת לנהל שיח. העשרת אוצר המילים ושימוש במבנים תחביריים מוכרים וחדשים. האזנה לסיפורים ופעילות עם ספרים תוך כדי העשרת האוצר הלשוני וקידום תהליכים אורייניים כתשתית לקראת קריאה וכתיבה. הרחבת עולמם של הילדים באמצעות יצירת תכנים הקשורים לסביבתם הקרובה ולהווי הישראלי/יהודי.
• ביסוס כישורי חיים כגון: יצירת תחושת שייכות, יחסי חברות, שמירה על בריאות ובטיחות ועוד.
• פעילויות לימודיות מסוגים שונים: שירים, ריקודי עם, סיפורים, יצירות והתנסות בכתיבת אותיות.

This program is for students going into kindergarten who are Hebrew speakers. The class meets once a week for an hour and focuses on improving the language and vocabulary skills of students through Hebrew dialogue, play, listening to stories, and songs. Kitat Gan is an educational framework for five-year-old children, in which they attend class with other students of similar backgrounds, who are members of the Israeli community. Here they will create new friendships and develop a sense of belonging within the Israeli community while we focus on the cultivation and promotion of Hebrew language and communication skills. The program is written in accordance to the children’s abilities and developmental stages while taking into account the school’s defined goals which includes the following components:

• Language skills: Understanding spoken language and conducting discourse in Hebrew. Enriching vocabulary and expressive language and promoting literacy processes as a foundation for reading and writing
• Establishing life skills such as: Creating a sense of belonging, developing friendships, maintaining health and safety, and more
• Educational activities of various kinds through singing, dancing, creating and playing

In addition, emphasis will be placed on the recognition of Jewish/Israeli life and culture, holidays and events in an interactive, engaging and creative environment appropriate for this age group. כיתה א’ מיועדת לתלמידים העולים לכיתה א’ או ב’, דוברי עברית אך שאינם יודעים קרוא וכתוב. המפגשים יערכו אחת לשבוע, במשך שעה וחצי. תכנית הלימודים מתמקדת בלימוד השפה תוך שיח בעברית, ברכישת מיומנויות השפה וחשיפה לתחומי ידע שונים, היכרות עם חגים ומועדי ישראל, וטעימה מההווי והתרבות היהודיים/ישראליים.

במסגרת השיעורים יושם דגש על התחומים הבאים:

• הכרת אותיות הא’-ב’, הקניית צלילים (התנועות והעיצורים), צירופים, מילים קצרות, מילים ומשפטים, קריאת סיפורים קצרים.
• הוראת הכתיבה והקריאה של אותיות הדפוס והניקוד באופן חלקי (תוכנית רכישת הקריאה במלואה מתפרשת על פני שנתיים).
• קריאה של משפטים וסיפורים קצרים.

Kita Alef (1st grade) is for incoming first or second graders who speak Hebrew and are not yet familiar with the Hebrew alphabet. Students will meet once a week for an hour-and-a-half.

Students learn the Hebrew alphabet, vowels, punctuation and reading through direct instruction, games, songs and stories. They also learn about the Jewish holidays and Israeli culture, all in an interactive environment. The course will focus on the following areas:

• Familiarity with the alphabet, sounds (vowels and consonants), short words, words and sentences, reading short stories
• Partial learning of the letters of the alphabet in print and cursive, Nikud (part of a two-year program)
• Language and reading comprehension: Reading short stories and completing activities and assignments related to the reading
• Enriching the language: Through didactic games to strengthen the linguistic treasury
• Celebrating holidays during classes

Kita Bet (second grade) is for incoming Hebrew-speaking second graders who are beginner readers and familiar with the Hebrew alphabet. Students will meet once a week for an hour-and-a-half. Kita Bet students continue to learn how to read and write, enrich their vocabulary and learn about Jewish holidays, traditions and Jewish/Israeli culture. The course will focus on the following areas:

• Teaching and developing reading strategies
• Independent, personal and creative short writing according to the child’s linguistic ability
• Strengthening language and reading comprehension
• Covering holidays’ essence and symbols. Expanding knowledge in the Jewish life cycle and Jewish identity, while integrating linguistic tasks, reading and writing
• Additional content, literature and poetry: Poet Haim Nachman Bialik and others

Students learn in an interactive environment about the Jewish calendar, holidays and Israeli culture. As part of the curriculum, students will read two books during the year. The class will focus on the following content:

• Acquiring and developing reading skills
• Writing stories
• Strengthening language and comprehension
• Celebrating holidays and events in the Jewish calendar

Students learn in an interactive environment about the Jewish calendar, holidays and Israeli culture. As part of the curriculum, students will read two books during the year.

The course will focus on the following areas:

Teaching and developing reading

Improving the correct writing of letters and punctuation

Strengthening language and reading comprehension: Enriching the vocabulary and use of the dictionary

Celebrating holidays and events in the Jewish year, covering its essence and its symbols, combining text learning related to the holiday (song, story)

Parental Partnership: Cooperation and open dialogue between teachers and parents are a vital part of the Beged Kefet experience. Communication with parents will be in several channels:

“בגד כפת” מציע מסלול מיוחד לתלמידים שאינם דוברי עברית. הכוונה לתלמידים שאינם מדברים בעברית בעצמם בבית, עם חברים או במסגרות אחרות. ההוראה בכיתות מתבצעת בעברית, ברמה ובשטף המתאימים לתלמידים שאינם דוברים את השפה.

התוכנית לילדים שאינם דוברי עברית נלמדת בעזרת סדרת “נפלאות” מבית מט”ח, המשלבת בין למידה בסביבה דיגיטלית לבין למידה בחוברות מודפסות.

בתוכנית התלמידים נחשפים לעברית יום-יומית, מתנסים בדיבור, בהמחזה ובמשחק בעברית, שרים שירי ילדים בעברית וחוגגים חגים בעברית. בהמשך הלימודים, התלמידים מרחיבים את אוצר המילים הפעיל שלהם בנושאים יום-יומיים שונים. הם משפרים את יכולת ההבנה והדיבור בעברית, מכירים את אותיות הכתב ומבססים את הקריאה בעברית.

• טיפוח יכולות תקשורת בעברית בארבע מיומנויות השפה: האזנה,דיבור, קריאה וכתיבה

Beged Kefet offers special classes for non-Hebrew speakers.

The instruction in the classroom is in Hebrew, adapted to the students’ understanding and fluency. We focus on conversational Hebrew. Children speak, dance, play and sing, in Hebrew, 80% of the time. Each study unit builds on those that precede it and includes the previously-acquired vocabulary and patterns. The Hebrew serves as a living bridge, connecting children and their families to Israel.

The non-native program studies with “Niflaot”, a unique series offering a combination of digital learningת along with printed workbook learning.

The students are introduced to everyday Hebrew by speaking and engaging in role playingת as well as singing songs in Hebrew. Further on, students expand their active vocabulary in various daily topics, learn the Hebrew alphabet, improve their comprehension, speaking skills, and strengthen their reading abilities.

Program objectives

• Teaching the Hebrew alphabet and basic reading and writing skills.
• Introducing language structures and vocabulary that enable natural spoken Hebrew for students whose native language is not Hebrew
• Fostering a love for the Hebrew language through relevant, interesting, and diverse content, taught in a step-by-step manner
• Creating a connection to Israel, linking language and culture and strengthening Jewish identity among learners
• Developing communication skills in Hebrew across the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing
