לקרן נסיון עשיר כמשתתפת וכמנהיגה בעולם הישראלי והיהודי. בילדותה ובשנות ההתבגרות שלה היתה מעורבת בצופים הישראלים בדרום המפרץ. קרן שמשה גם מדריכה שעבדה צמוד עם ילדים וגם כרכזת שעבדה עם בני נוער ומנהיגים אחרים בסניף הצופים.

בזמן לימודיה ב-San Francisco State University, שם למדה ביולוגיה, הפכה קרן חברה פעילה וסטודנטית חברת צוות בסניף “הלל” באוניברסיטה, כמו גם בכמה ארגונים נוספים, והחזיקה במשרת עמדות הנהגה במועדון הסטודנטיות היהודיות בו היתה חברה, כמו גם ב-Israel advocacy group באוניברסיטה.

קרן נמצאת ב-OFJCC מזה שנתיים, ובעבר פתחה, נהלה ותפעלה את תכנית J-Scouts, שהביאה את חווית הצופים הישראלית למשפחות יהודיות אמריקאיות. קרן מקווה להיות מתכננת ארועים והיא מתרגשת להמשיך ללמוד ולפתח את כישוריה בעבודתה בבגד כפת.

Keren Erlich has a lot of experience within the Israeli and Jewish world. She spent some of her childhood and most of her teens involved with Israeli Scouts Tzofim in the South Bay as both a counselor working directly with kids and a coordinator working with the teens and other leaders of the chapter.

During her time at San Francisco State University, Keren studied biology and became an active member and student staff for Hillel, as well as some other organizations. Most notably, Keren held many various leadership positions in her Jewish sorority, as well as SFSU’s Israel advocacy group.

Keren has been at the OFJCC for almost two years and started, managed and ran the J-Scouts program, which brought the Tzofim experience to American-Jewish families. She hopes to become an event planner and is excited to continue to learn and hone her skills working with Beged Kefet.
