LOCATION
Amy Imai Elementary School
This is our third annual garden workday together, honoring Earth Month. Snacks will be provided.
Location: Amy Imai Elementary School, 253 Martens Ave, Mountain View
We will toil in the soil by weeding, spreading mulch and installing new garden signs together.
Living Classroom will supply a few pairs of gloves, but you're encouraged to bring your own. Comfy shoes, suitable clothes for gardening, sun hats and a water bottle are a must. Feel free to bring lunch and enjoy eating by the garden after the workday concludes.
In the event of rain, volunteers will participate in an art project to create a large garden sign using natural materials. The location will remain the same and we will work under covered eaves.
This family-friendly activity is perfect for elementary school children through adults, as well as younger children who can garden with parent assistance.
A nominal participation fee helps cover administrative and coordination costs.

In partnership with Living Classroom
Living Classroom's mission is to inspire children to learn about and value the natural world through garden-based education. We make learning come alive and empower the next generation by growing environmental champions, inquisitive learners and healthy eaters. We support students that are excited about science, connected to nature and equipped to build a future that is environmentally sustainable.
