"Most people are on the world, not in it—having no conscious sympathy or relationship to anything about them—undiffused, separate and rigidly alone like marbles of polished stone, touching but separate." ~John Muir

In honor of the delegation of Israeli counselors who have spent their summer bringing energy and ruach to the Palo Alto community, and to celebrate the beautiful holiday of love—Tu B'Av—teens are invited to join an evening walk and connect with one another with nature as our platform.

We will start at the JCC and drive to the trail together, do a few mingling games to get connected and then embark on a walk to a beautiful overlook where we will have time to chat with new friends about what feels like home, what feels foreign, what it feels like to be out of civilization for a moment and where we find ourselves in all of this. There will me some time for quiet reflection followed by a shared picnic with traditional sweets for the Jewish holiday of love.

If you are 15–22, Israeli, American, a combo of the two and/or interested in meeting some people to reflect on a place you know very well or hardly know at all, please join us!
