Buena Vista Social Club is a musical set in Havana during the rise of Fidel Castro. Follow the lives of four Cuban musicians from the 1950s to the 1990s, whose lives and careers were shaped by the impact of communism on the Cuban music scene. The show explores their struggles under political change and their eventual reunion, celebrating the resilience and legacy of the Buena Vista Social Club.

Young musicians like Omara Portuondo, Ibrahim Ferrer and Rubén González perform in crowded clubs, dreaming of musical success. As Castro rises to power, musical venues close, instruments disappear and musicians are forced to scatter; some flee, others remain in silence. Legendary singer Omara Portuondo was once known as the "Queen of Feeling," her voice was celebrated throughout Cuba until she vanished from the spotlight.

Hailed as a "jaw-dropping, soul-stirring must see" by The Washington Post, the Tony® and Grammy® Award-winning Buena Vista Social Club™ is a journey through music and memory into the beating heart of Havana.
