Deborah Rosengaus is a versatile mezzo soprano having studied opera, theater, music and dance. She is known for her exciting, high-energy performances and for creating memorable and endearing characters. With a uniquely flexible voice, as comfortable in world premieres as Renaissance revivals, she has delighted audiences around the world with her rich timbre and sparkling coloratura. Ms. Rosengaus has toured internationally, with a variety of musical ensembles in concert halls such as: Santori Hall in Tokyo, The Center for Performing Arts in Beijing with the Peoples Liberation Army Orchestra, Disney Hall with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. She has done recitals in Mexico and across the United States, giving voice to her research into the lesser-known art songs of great classical composers.

Ms. Rosengaus has received critical acclaim for her interpretation of Jo in Mark Adamo's Little Women and was nominated for a Theater Bay Area Award for the role of Ruth in Pirates of Penzance. With Ars Minerva, she has re-premiered four operas that haven't been seen since their performances back in the Baroque period. Other favorite credits include Cendrillon, Man of La Mancha, Hansel and Gretel, Candide, Pippin, The Consul, Griffelkin by the late great Lucas Foss and the west coast premiere of the new opera Miss Lonelyhearts. She is also a featured vocalist on several independent film soundtracks. 

She has performed locally with Opera San Jose, Ars Minerva, Lamplighters, Pocket Opera, Opera Cultura, Livermore Valley Opera, West Bay Opera, Modesto Opera, 42nd Street Moon, Los Altos Stage Company, Hillbarn and Z-Space. Ms. Rosengaus holds a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with international opera diva Mignon Dunn, and a bachelor's from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.  Singer | Deborah Martinez Rosengaus

Sam Faustine, tenor, is an award-winning San Francisco-born-and-raised musician and actor who performs a wide variety of genres ranging from Baroque opera to modern musical theatre. Most recently, he played Dr. Lyman Hall in Paper Mill Playhouse's widely acclaimed production of 1776. Sam was a member of the first national tour of Broadway's A Christmas Carol and has made three appearances as a soloist with the San Francisco Symphony, most recently performing the roasted swan in Carmina Burana.

In musical theatre, Sam has appeared in Europe, China and across the United States in roles such as Anthony in Sweeney Todd, Dr. Pomatter in Waitress, Tony in West Side Story, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Curly in Oklahoma! and Candide in Candide. In addition to his stage career, Sam performs with many early music and sacred music ensembles across the country, most notably the internationally touring Byrd Ensemble.

Sam has been part of two Grammy Award-winning projects: Terry Riley's Sun Rings (Best Engineered Album, Classical, 2020) and Saariaho's Adriana Mater (Best Opera Recording, 2025). Jonathan Erman is a composer, conductor and pianist. He accompanies regularly for theater groups throughout the Bay Area, including TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, West Bay Opera and Foothill Music Theatre. His work encompasses all types of theater, as well as choral and orchestral music. He has taken part in conducting workshops throughout the United States, and his piece Take Flight Anyway was performed by flutist Sara Andon as part of the Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive's 2020 New Music Project.
