Inbal Bar-Yosef has a teaching certificate and a bachelor’s degree in law from Israel. She has been teaching Hebrew for eight years and philosophy for children, in Hebrew and English, for three years, both at Hausner Jewish Day School, and under the guidance of Professor Jana Mohr from the University of Washington. She sees great importance in strengthening the students’ ability to express themselves in Hebrew, and an integral part of her teaching is dedicated to discussions based on a text, book or a philosophical question.

Philosophy for children lessons start with an open question: Is every work of art indeed art? Is music a language? The children learn to strengthen their listening skills and promote a deep discussion based on what they hear from their friends and their personal experience and views. Each opinion receives attention and there is no such as thing as “right” or “wrong.”
