George Farber
Treasurer
George Farber is currently a Senior Managing Director at Evercore, advising software companies globally on mergers, acquisitions and other strategic initiatives. He has over two decades of investment banking and consulting experience.
George graduated from New York University with a BA in economics and from NYU Stern School of Business with an MBA in finance. He is married to Anessa Farber, a Public Health Clinics Manager for San Mateo County. They are the proud parents of Gabby, Raya and Nathan. Gabby finished a gap year at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem and will attend Tulane University this fall. Raya is a junior at Kehillah, and Nathan is in sixth grade at Hausner.
George and Anessa are both active members of the Jewish community. Anessa is an Executive Committee Board member at Hausner, heading their strategic planning efforts, and George will be joining the JCC Board for the second time. Currently, George chairs the Audit Committee for the OFJCC. Previously, he was a member of the Finance Committee and participated on the Maccabi Sports Camp Task Force.
